This is a whole new world of therapy that we are diving into right now, friends. And the previous preferences we had for resources on TPT might be changing as our mode of therapy has changed. I, for example, love printed worksheets and hands-on programs. So you can imagine that digital therapy has been an adjustment for me. As I have stated *numerous* times, teletherapy overwhelmed me. So many questions and concerns! One of which being...what resources do I need? I looked through my stash and decided to challenge myself to use what I have before trying to understand Boom cards or other digital resources on TPT. Not only does this save you money, but it also provides consistency with your kiddos if you already have used this resources in the speech room. If you haven't, think of how excited they will be to see the hard copies of these when they see you again!

So here are 4 resources that killed it in my speech room, and are currently killing it on teletherapy.

✅ Speech Room and Teletherapy

✅ Great for Active Kiddos

✅ All Speech and Language Goals

✅ Easy to send for Home Program

Let me start by saying, I am a ride or die TSM SLP and while it is a hard choice, this product might by my favorite resource she has created. This resource has recently been given a facelift and updated to include language goals, syllable shapes, phonological processes, and ALL SOUNDS in ALL WORD POSITIONS. This resource includes 5 target words for each goal with the opportunity to elicit 120 trials in one session. It includes ball popper targets, shapes for sensory bins, and workout posters to prompt a "workout" that can all be used for face-to-face therapy. For teletherapy, I let my kids request which workout they want to do (great opportunity for language expansion and/or describing). After they say their words, they can do the workout and I mark out the workout on my iPad.

This resource could be used on your computer or iPad as long as you can share your screen. This works great for kids who are having trouble sitting at a device for full session. You can obtain their attention long enough to practice the words then are given an opportunity to let out some energy all the while getting in some gross motor play that they may be missing staying in their house.

✅ Speech Room and Teletherapy

✅ Table Work Activity

✅ Multiple Speech and Language Goals Available in Bundles

✅ Easy to send for Home Program

If you are familiar with TPT or Insta SLP's then surely you've seen Ashley Rossi's Dice and Dot resources. They have been a therapy staple for me since grad school. My kids love getting to use the bingo daubers (especially the scented ones) in the speech room or picking a color for me to color on the iPad. You can also use an online dice during teletherapy to play the game correctly, or let your kids choose which word they do next!

The link above will take you to the Dice and Dot Speech and Language Bundle, but please know there are SO MANY dice and dot products with different goals. I personally own and enjoy the D&D articulation, following directions, multi-syllablic and apraxia bundle.

✅ Speech Room and Teletherapy

✅ Early Intervention

✅ Parent Friendly

✅ Easy to send for Home Program

✅ Gives SLP's Inspiration

This resource is one of the staple resources that I found early on in my CFY and have cherished ever since. This resource includes handouts for specific early language strategies with easy to understand explanations and examples. PLUS, it includes pages for specific toys/activities with ideas to utilize various strategies.

The reason I love this resource for teletherapy is because a lot of my kiddos are young and need naturalistic play to grow their language skills. So, I'm utilizing a parent-coaching style with these kids. Here's what I do: the day before a session I email the parent a handout with a specific language strategy and a handout for 2-3 different toys/activities (with littles you must always have a plan B...and C). Then I provide feedback and coaching throughout the session. This give the parent a concrete explanation they can refer back to and an opportunity to plan activities and feel prepared.

One other thing I love about this resource is that it gives SLP's inspiration. I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I get in a rut. My kids get bored with a toy or activity and I need to expand strategies to other activities or scenarios. And, tbh, it's hard to think of new activities sometimes. I can look through these handouts to find an activity or toy I may not have tried with a kiddo before.

P.S. If you're looking for language strategy handouts in Spanish, I love these from Speech and Language At Home. She provides half page in English and half page in Spanish. I've been loving these for my kids who are bilingual English proficient but their parents don't speak English.

✅ Speech Room and Teletherapy

✅ Engaging Themes/Visuals

✅ Speech and Language Goals Targeted

✅ Easy to send for Home Program

This is a newer release from TSM and I was skeptical about using it for teletherapy. This is such a hands-on product for following directions, I wasn't sure I could adapt it for teletherapy. But I found that it is possible!

In the speech room, this resource can be used to address following one-step or two-step directions with basic directional verbs (point, show, find, etc.) as well as instructional verbs that 3 year olds are exposed to in preschool and most workbooks for their age group (e.g. identify, predict, illustrate, etc.). The resource includes visuals for these directions, kid-friendly definitions, and themed "frames" that include 10 images for various themes to use for following directions. As if that wasn't cool enough, it also includes worksheets that target 8 different directions while also addressing articulation and language goals.

For teletherapy, I've been sharing my screen with the worksheets and coloring the targets as the child completes them. Then for the themed frames, I've been having my kids follow simple one-step directions to identify or locate images on the frame with a parent/caregiver nearby to supervise and tell me if they were correct.

✅ Speech Room and Teletherapy

✅ Multiple Activities

✅ Early Language

✅ Home Program Friendly

This resource is new to me, but I've already been using it today and LOVING it. I love using visuals and having these boards for different activities is so handy-dandy!

This resource includes communication boards for 35 different toys/activities. THIRTY-FIVE! For $6! If you print and prep this product, you could print x2 and have interactive pieces to be used as manipulative visuals in your speech room. But for now, you could share your screen with these boards to target expressive language with virtual activities or you holding toys up in front of the camera. For example, this resource includes a board for Mr. Potato Head. So, you could use these visuals to target requesting while you virtually build a Mr. Potato Head.

This resource would also be great to provide to parents to utilize at home! Building off the idea I shared with the Early Language Handouts, you could provide a handout on utilizing play-doh with language strategies from that resource and the visuals for play-doh from this resource!

I hope this information is helpful and that you all stay safe and healthy throughout this difficult time!
